One of the first questions I had on my first mornings trying Balance & Burn was whether or not taking the Balance and Care stick pack at the same time as my morning coffee would be a problem. It sort of felt like I should be taking it on an empty stomach with nothing but water. Usually I fast 16-18 hours so having coffee first thing is pretty critical for me 😋 .

Actually I have been hearing a lot lately about how we should ideally be drinking water for the first 90 minutes or more after waking up, but haven’t mustered the strength for that yet 😂 .

In any case, here’s what I found…

I honestly expected to find that coffee was something I should avoid while taking Balance & Burn. If the product is designed to help support GLP-1 production in the gut, I figured maybe coffee would interfere somehow. I was expecting to find a recommendation to wait thirty minutes, or take the stick pack with only water, or something along those lines.

The first place I looked was Young Living’s own information. As far as I can tell, they don’t say anything about avoiding coffee or separating it from the Balance & Burn System. If there were a concern, I would expect them to mention it somewhere, but I couldn’t find anything.

That answered one question, but it immediately made me wonder what the research in general actually says about coffee itself with GLP1 support supplements.

This was the part I found interesting. Several studies suggest that coffee may actually support the body’s own GLP-1 response. What’s even more surprising is that researchers don’t think it’s primarily the caffeine that’s responsible. Instead, they point to naturally occurring compounds in coffee called polyphenols. Some studies have even found a similar effect with decaffeinated coffee.

Now, before anyone takes that to mean coffee somehow supercharges Balance & Burn, calm down, that’s not what the research says. I couldn’t find anything suggesting that coffee makes the product work better. What I learned is pretty straightforward: coffee doesn’t hurt B&B and if anything there are benefits. My original concern was that coffee might somehow be working against the product, and I couldn’t find any evidence that it was.

So it turns out, I haven’t had to change anything at all. I still drink my black coffee while I’m fasting, and I still take the Balance & Care stick pack first thing in the morning. Based on everything I found, I don’t see any reason to separate my morning coffee from my Balance & Burn routine.

Well, I still wonder if Balance & Care breaks a fast. That’s another question.
